Product Overview

Specifically planned around the astronomy enthusiast. This 2-night, 2-half & 1-whole day, family friendly trip is scheduled on a new moon just outside of the Massacre Rim Dark Sky Sanctuary for optimal sky viewing at night and hot spring soaking during the day.

Priced at $495 for vehicle & driver, additional adults (12+) are $20, additional children $10. This drive-your-own vehicle covers 158 miles.

 

Afternoon-1

  • Travel to Night 1 camp just outside of the Massacre Rim at Massacre Ranch.
  • Cultural and natural interpretive
  • Welcome dinner cooked by your guide team
  • A first night of stargazing with the clarity of zero light pollution

Day-2

  • Travel with the team through Sheldon Wildlife refuge.
  • Encounter desert wildlife
  • Camp Night 2 camp at Soldier Meadows 
  • A second night of stargazing nearby to hot springs.                 

 

Morning-3

  • Greet the sunrise with a hot spring soak
  • Scenic drive from Soldier Meadows to Gerlach                                                       

                                                        

Guided Experience Cancellations Policy:

All requests to change or cancel a purchased tour must be submitted in writing (with a time/date stamp) by email to:info@wildwoodopenlands.org or jrosenfeld@wildwoodopenlands.org

Rescheduling & Credits

  • Any purchased tour may be rescheduled to a later date or converted to a credit for a different tour without penalty.
  • Rescheduling or credits must be used on another tour within two years of the original purchase date.
  • Once a tour has been rescheduled or credited, no refund is available
